Upcoming  Projects:
This summer, we have been hard at work on the #WeAreSouthCentral Campaign. This is a short video documentary project.

In the coming months, we will get to work on a "Gentrification and Activism in Los Angeles Syllabus." We call on community and academic experts to join us in building a syllabus that identifies structures and investigates solutions regarding gentrification in Los Angeles.

New Stories:
The Memories of my Neighborhood Project currently has a total of twelve stories lined up for 2017. The first publication was David De La Torre's (co-founder) interview of writer  Jorge Guerra (writer and scholar) published on August 10th 2017.  The second publication was Stephanie Ponce's (co-founder) historic blog "Ni de Aqui, Ni de Alla" published on September 10th, 2017. The the next publication will be an editorial by Roberto Ramos on public health in South Los Angeles on September 20th.

Public Presentations and Events:
Jonathan Romero presented at the Florence Firestone Community Leaders (FFCL) general meeting on March 14th 2018.

BSCC was at the Welcome Home LA: Re-Entry Resource Fair and Celebration, June 24th 2017.

The Executive Team held a Strategic Planning Meeting on November 19th 2017.

David De La Torre, Cristina Muñoz, and Oscar Bautista presented at Dr. Mark Wild's Capstone on Public History Course at the CSULA campus on November 20th 2017.


Elections 2017-2018:
On March 22nd 2017, Bridging South Central Communities held their first elections for executive team positions. Congratulations to Jonathan Romero(President), Veronica Estrada (Social Media Chair), David De La Torre (Website Designer), and Stephanie Ponce Valladares ( Chief in Editor)
